FAQs Regarding Insurance Claims

What does the claims process look like?
The claims process can be broken down in 4 simple steps;
1. We conduct an inspection on your home to determine if you have damage.
2. If we identify adequate damage, we will assist the homeowner in filing a claim if requested.
3. After filing claim you are notified when an insurance assigned adjuster will come assess the damage, it is our responsibility to meet with the adjuster on that date to make sure all damage is accounted for.
4. After your claim is approved, you will receive a check from your insurance company for the depreciation amount, that is the value of your roof as it stands. The remainder of the settlement will be released once we complete the job and send the insurance company completion photos.
Will my rates raise or will I be dropped from my insurance if I file a claim?

No, as a homeowner you are protected by state laws from your rates being raised or being dropped by your insurance company by filing what is known as an "act of god related" claim (i.e. wind, hail). If you had filed a previous claim and have seen your rates raise, that is because the claim was not in the category of an act of god claim.
Will I have to pay any other cost other than my insurance deductible?

No. your deductible is the only cost you are responsible for, the only way we start a job is if we know the full cost for the project is covered, ensuring the homeowner isn't left with incurred costs
